THE YEAR OF LOVE
Happy New Year Everyone! How are you feeling? I ask that question because it is our feelings this year that are going to guide us and help us to create the perfect year.
I’m declaring 2012 the year of love. It is going to be so important this year to have the people you love and who really love you by your side.
Yes I know the Mayans predicted the end of the world, the recession is continuing, wars are still being fought all over the planet and some of us still have a lot of conflict inside of ourselves but all of this can be transformed and transcended with love.
The Beatles song “Money can’t buy you love” is so true. Love is the ultimate goal for all of us. So if you’ve just lost your job, or you are in debt, then turn to your partner and hang onto that love you share with them. If your house has been taken from you or you didn’t get that interview feel the love that is still all around you. Don’t feel that just because you are not a reality TV star or a celebrity with millions you can’t have a happy life. If there is a person by your side who loves you unconditionally and you love them too then believe me you have found the greatest of treasures; you are the luckiest person alive.
Love fuels all things; love heals all things; love is eternal and love is the bringer of everything important. As Nat King Cole once sang, "The greatest gift you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return."
No one should be alone in 2012. There are going to be many changes – perhaps some more earthquakes and tsunamis, probably more conflict, and our money problems may still be pressing but with love, compassion and caring we will all make it through.
So grab your partner and tell them you love them; shout it from the highest tree top. If you are single then hug your best friend and tell them you love them too. Tell your mother, tell your father, tell your neighbor (especially if they’ve been lending you sugar or looking after your cat) Fill your heart with that all consuming and life-giving love – it will empower and charge you so you can take on any problem in the world.
If there is no one in your life that you can love or share that magical feeling with then tell yourself that you love you unconditionally no matter what. Never forget that there are angels all around that love you so much. They are guiding you to your soul mate and the life of your dreams if you will only just believe. The Creator of all of us also loves you and wants you to know that you are not alone – you are loved even if the world looks like it is empty.
I am filled with the anticipation of finding true love this New Year. Most importantly I’ve learned to love myself completely and utterly, despite my past mistakes and imperfections. So much so I’ve started my own love revolution. You know that kind of love that gets you jumping up and down like Tom Cruise on Oprah’s sofa!
Despite my full heart, I can’t change the world on my own so I’d love you to commit with me this year to completely loving yourself everyday and telling yourself that no matter what happens in 2012, love for yourself and the other people in your life is all that really matters in the end. Love will save the day.
